Christopher A. Bourne, Sr. (known affectionately as “Pastor Chris”) has been Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church since May 2019.

Pastor Chris’ bold and uncompromising teaching of God’s word has challenged men and women to give their hearts to the Lord, become better servants of God, and to positively impact their homes, communities, and the world…

Associate Pastor: Eric Johnson

Pastor Eric was raised in Pasadena, California where he attended and graduated from John Muir High School, lettering in football, and track and field. After graduating he attended Pasadena City College, Chapman College, and received a Certificate of Completion from Central Texas College in computer technologies.

A life broken, shattered and remolded by the hand of God. Coming to the saving knowledge of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, all roads and all decisions he made (in hindsight), or in the future would have, and did lead him closer and closer to Jesus. Pastor Eric looks for a future hope and an expected end as he now lives for HIM, and for his son. (Adam)

Prodigal living and each period of stagnation was met with more and more exposure to the Word of God. Pastor Eric came back to Second Baptist Church to serve the Lord, and since receiving the right hand of fellowship in September of 2011, he has been active in the following ministries:

Anointed Voiced of Praise Choir (Chaplain)
Gideon’s Army Choir (Former President)
Brotherhood Laymen’s League (Former President)
Deaconship (Diakanos Ministry)
Associate Pastor of Evangelism

Pastor Eric is the father of one child (Adam) and is waiting on the Lord for his helpmeet. He is currently employed at a major Cancer Research Hospital in Duarte.

His sole purpose for living is to be pleasing to God, in the name of Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and His word. Eric is always willing to witness to others about the Love, Grace, and Mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

He graciously stands on the Psalms, Proverbs, The Book of Isaiah, Zechariah, The Gospel of John, Philippians Chapters 1 & 2, and Colossians 1:9-14 NKJV
